No batteries required, hand-cranked operation. This Ni-MH rechargeable battery can be fully charged and released 500 times by DC power input. By DC input, full charge takes about 2 hrs. The maximum charging capacity is about 30% of the battery. After full charging, it can be used for 8 hrs.
